The history of Cornerstone
Cornerstone Bookshop has been trading in North London since 1981. From our premises in North Finchley we serve the Christian community from the M25 in the North to Hampstead in the South, from Edgware in the West to Tottenham in the East. Many of our customers come from further afield, and through the web we serve an unlimited amount of customers across the world!
Andrew Franks began the business in 1981 and was manager until 2004. For several years he had also been developing Bedford Books, a remainder books business that Cornerstone purchased in 1998. In 2004 Andrew was released to work full-time on Bedford Books, and John Duncan, who had been working at Cornerstone since 1997, took over as manager of Cornerstone Bookshop.
Since 1998, Cornerstone has also been running the bookshop at Oak Hill Theological College in Southgate, a few miles from our base in North Finchley.
